AMH (NYSE: AMH) said David Singelyn, who has served as CEO since the company's inception, announced his intent to retire effective Dec. 31.  Bryan Smith, the company's COO, has been named as the next CEO effective Jan. 1, 2025. Singelyn will serve as an advisor through June 2025.

Armada Hoffler (NYSE: AHH) said COO Shawn Tibbetts has been named as the REIT’s president. Tibbetts has served as COO since joining Armada Hoffler in 2019. Upon the expected retirement of Louis Haddad as CEO in the spring of 2025, the board expects to appoint Tibbetts as CEO, the REIT said.

Meanwhile, Armada Hoffler founder and current Chairman Dan Hoffler intends to relinquish his role as board chairman in June. Immediately following, Haddad is expected to assume the role of board chairman. Haddad will continue to serve as CEO during the transition period, after which he is expected to become executive chairman for approximately one year.

CTO Realty Growth, Inc. (NYSE: CTO) said its Senior Vice President, CFO and Treasurer Matthew Partridge, has resigned from the company, effective as of April 1, to pursue another opportunity with a new venture not in the REIT industry.

Christina Chiu, executive vice president, COO, and CFO at Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: ESRT) has been promoted to president. Anthony Malkin will continue to serve as chairman and CEO. Additionally, Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer Stephen Horn has been promoted to executive vice president, CFO, and chief accounting officer.

Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX) named Merrie Williamson as executive vice president and chief customer and revenue officer, effective March 25. Williamson previously served as corporate vice president of Azure infrastructure and digital and application innovation at Microsoft.

Essential Properties Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: EPRT) announced the promotion of two executives. Max Jenkins has been promoted to executive vice president, head of investments. AJ Peil, has been promoted to executive vice president, head of asset management.

Equity LifeStyle Properties, Inc. (NYSE:ELS) increased the size of its board from nine to ten directors and elected Radhika Papandreou to fill the vacancy created by the increase. Papandreou has been managing partner for Korn Ferry’s Chicago office since 2021 and previously served as senior client partner from 2019 to 2021.

Equity LifeStyle also reported that Valerie Henry, senior vice president and chief accounting officer, is resigning in order to pursue an opportunity elsewhere. Paul Seavey, executive vice president and CFO, will assume the responsibilities of principal accounting officer.

Global Net Lease, Inc. (NYSE: GNL) announced the appointment of Michael Monahan, a CBRE vice chair, to its board.

Jackson Hsieh will become president and CEO of Macerich (NYSE: MAC) on March 1, following the retirement of Thomas O’Hern after 30 years of service. O’Hern will serve as an advisor to the company through June 30 to ensure a smooth transition. Most recently, Hsieh was the president and CEO of Spirit Realty Capital, where he led the merger of Spirit with Realty Income Corporation (NYSE: O).

Realty Income Corporation (NYSE: O) announced that Jeff Jacobson joined its board. Ronald Merriman also announced his intention to retire from the board and to not stand for reelection at Realty Income's 2024 annual meeting. Jacobson is a retired global CEO of LaSalle Investment Management, serving in the role from 2007 to 2021.

SBA Communications Corp. (Nasdaq: SBAC) announced that Jason Silberstein, executive vice president, site leasing, will retire from his current role effective Aug.1. Donald Day will succeed Silberstein. Day has been with SBA for 13 years, most recently as senior vice president, services. Meanwhile, Nichole Thomas, currently the company’s vice president, site development services, will transition into the role previously held by Day. The appointments of Day and Thomas will become effective on Aug.1.

Sun Communities, Inc. (NYSE: SUI) announced that Jerry Ehlinger and Craig Leupold have joined the company’s board. Gary Shiffman, chairman, president, and CEO, said, “We welcome Jerry and Craig to the board and appreciate the collaborative engagement we have had with Land & Buildings, a Sun Communities shareholder.”

Ehlinger most recently served as global head and CIO of public securities at Heitman Real Estate Investment Management. Leupold is currently the CEO of GSI Capital Advisors, an investment manager with expertise in publicly traded real estate securities. Prior to that, Leupold spent 27 years at Green Street, with the last twelve as the firm's CEO.
