AvalonBay Communities, Inc. (NYSE: AVB) said Pamela Thomas will join the company in the newly created position of executive vice president, portfolio and asset management. Thomas was most recently managing director, member of the global leadership team, and head of U.S. real estate investment for CPP Investments, which invests the funds held by the Canada Pension Plan.
Dynex Capital, Inc. (NYSE: DX) announced the appointment of Marie Chandoha as an independent director. Chandoha has been appointed to the audit committee and nominating & corporate governance committee. She has close to 40 years of experience in the asset management industry, including having spent nearly 10 years as CEO of Charles Schwab Investment Management.
Healthcare Realty Trust Inc. (NYSE:HR) announced the appointment of Thomas Bohjalian to its board of directors. Bohjalian, whom the board has determined to be independent, has also been appointed to the newly formed capital allocation committee. Previously, Bohjalian spent 20 years at Cohen & Steers, where he was executive vice president, senior portfolio manager and the head of U.S. real estate and trading departments.

Industrial Logistics Properties Trust (Nasdaq: ILPT) announced that Marc Krohn has been appointed vice president. Krohn is a vice president of The RMR Group, whose responsibilities include overseeing the leasing, operations, and management of ILPT’s mainland industrial portfolio.
Service Properties Trust (Nasdaq: SVC) announced that Jesse Abair has been appointed as vice president. Abair is a vice president of The RMR Group, where he leads a team responsible for the sourcing, underwriting, design, entitlement, and leasing of all development projects managed by RMR.
Seven Hills Realty Trust (Nasdaq: SEVN) announced that Jared Lewis has been appointed as vice president. Lewis is a vice president of The RMR Group, where he leads a team in screening, sizing, and underwriting new commercial real estate mortgage loans. He is also a vice president of Tremont Realty Capital.
Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR) welcomed Lindsay Casillas as senior vice president, chief revenue officer, senior housing. She has held leadership roles in Global Fortune 500 companies prior to joining Ventas, including as national vice president of sales, corporate services at Compass Group and senior vice president of sales, senior housing at Sodexo.
