Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. (NYSE: ARE) announced that the board of directors has elected Claire Aldridge, PhD, as an independent director. The board also appointed Aldridge to serve as a member of its life science committee. Aldridge was the chief strategy officer of Form Bio, the first spinout from the de-extinction and biodiversity company Colossal Biosciences.
Armada Hoffler (NYSE: AHH) announced that Jennifer Boykin has been appointed to the board of directors. She has previously served as the executive vice president of Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. and president of Newport News Shipbuilding (HII-NNS), the largest business division within the company.


Centerspace (NYSE: CSR) said Jeff Caira, a member of the board of trustees, will retire as a trustee, chair of the nominating and governance committee, and member of the audit committee effective upon the expiration of his annual term on May 14.
Crown Castle Inc. (NYSE: CCI) announced that the board of directors appointed Daniel Schlanger, executive vice president and CFO, as interim CEO following the termination of Steven Moskowitz as president and CEO. The board has initiated a search for a successor president and CEO.
Schlanger will continue to serve as CFO until April 1, at which time Sunit Patel will assume the role of executive vice president and CFO. Schlanger will serve as interim CEO until a successor CEO is identified and appointed, at which time the board intends to appoint him as chief transformation officer, in which he will be responsible for overseeing the completion of the company’s sale of its small cells and fiber solutions businesses, which is expected to close in the first half of 2026.


Crown Castle also named Katherine Motlagh to its board. She previously served as CFO of CyrusOne LLC and CFO of the Europe, Africa and Latin America regions of American Tower Corp. (NYSE: AMT).
Diversified Healthcare Trust (Nasdaq: DHC) elected Alan Felder as an independent trustee. Felder previously worked at UBS Investment Bank for over 20 years, where he most recently served as the head of real estate, lodging and leisure, Americas.
Elme Communities (NYSE: ELME) announced the appointment of Ron Sturzenegger to its board of trustees. Sturzenegger brings more than three decades of finance and real estate experience to the Elme board and previously held positions at Bank of America Corp. and BofA Securities, including managing director and global head of real estate, gaming and lodging investment banking.
Essential Properties Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: EPRT) promoted three executives. Max Jenkins has been promoted to executive vice president, COO. AJ Peil has been promoted to executive vice president, chief investment officer. Robert Salisbury has been promoted to senior vice president, head of corporate finance and strategy.


Global Net Lease, Inc. (NYSE: GNL) announced the appointment of Leon Richardson to its board of directors, effective March 7. The REIT said Richardson is the founder, president, and CEO of The Chemico Group, one of the largest minority-owned chemical management and distribution companies in the United States.
Healthpeak Properties, Inc. (NYSE: DOC) promoted Kelvin Moses to executive vice president – investments and portfolio management, and Tracy Porter to executive vice president and general counsel. In line with the REIT’s long-term executive succession planning, Jeff Miller and Tom Klaritch will each be departing the company after a transition and consulting role through Dec. 31, and Mark Theine will lead Healthpeak’s outpatient medical platform.
Robert “Roddy” Jones, a leader in North Carolina’s business and civic communities, passed away on March 24 at the age of 88. A Raleigh native, he began his career at Davidson and Jones Construction Company, where he served as president for 20 years. Jones was a driving force in Raleigh-Durham real estate and his work culminated in co-founding Highwoods Properties, Inc. (NYSE: HIW).


National Health Investors, Inc. (NYSE:NHI) announced that Robert Chapin, Jr. joined the NHI board of directors. The REIT said that Chapin was appointed to the board's special committee of disinterested directors to negotiate, review, analyze, and approve any potential lease between NHI and National Healthcare Corp. and all related items, or explore any other possible alternatives. Chapin has served as the executive chairman of Channel Marker Advisors, LLC since 2024.
Plymouth Industrial REIT, Inc. (NYSE: PLYM) noted the appointment of Robert Stephenson to its board of directors, where he will serve as an independent director and will be a member of the audit committee. Stephenson is the CFO of Omega Healthcare Investors, Inc., (NYSE: OHI) and has served in this capacity since August 2001.
RLJ Lodging Trust (NYSE: RLJ) said Sean Mahoney, the company’s executive vice president and CFO, will be retiring in May. This follows seven years at the company and a career spanning over 30 years, including more than 20 years in the hospitality REIT industry.

Sabra Health Care REIT, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBRA) said Talya Nevo-Hacohen, Sabra’s chief investment officer, treasurer and executive vice president, has decided to retire effective Dec. 31, and Darrin Smith, Sabra’s executive vice president, investments, is expected to be elevated to the role of Sabra’s chief investment officer effective Jan. 1, 2026. Nevo-Hacohen is expected to remain in a consulting role with Sabra pursuant to a two-year consulting arrangement.
Service Properties Trust (Nasdaq: SVC) announced that Chris Bilotto was appointed as a managing trustee, president, and CEO of SVC. Bilotto is an executive vice president of The RMR Group (Nasdaq: RMR), overseeing its acquisition platform, asset management for all hotel and senior living properties, as well as property development and redevelopment throughout the United States.
Simon Property Group (NYSE: SPG) said that one of its longest tenured independent directors, Allan Hubbard, is retiring, effective May 14. Hubbard joined the board in 2009.
SL Green Realty Corp. (NYSE: SLG) announced the appointment of Peggy Lamb as an independent director. Lamb has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate industry. She currently serves as managing director of Halstatt, LLC and as a principal in the Halstatt Real Estate Partners private equity real estate funds.
Sun Communities, Inc. (NYSE: SUI) said its board of directors nominated Mark Denien as an independent director candidate for election at the upcoming annual meeting of shareholders. Denien served in multiple executive roles from 2005 to October 2022 at Duke Realty Corp., most recently as executive vice president and CFO from 2013 to 2022.
