Nareit is excited to be a participating organization in a new executive education program in real estate co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Real Estate and Maastricht University Center. The Global Real Estate Leaders Program is an executive training program aimed at emerging real estate professionals with at least 10 years’ experience.

Leading academics and real estate industry leaders will provide in-depth insights into investment and leadership and management skills, and will address current and future industry challenges such as sustainability and climate risk, property technology, inflation, increased interest rates, talent shortages, and technological changes. The leadership skills addressed by the program include negotiation, entrepreneurship, high-performing team design and management, diversity and inclusion, ethics, and cultural leadership and influencing.

The program consists of four 1-week modules, designed to equip real estate developers, managers, and investors with the skills and knowledge required to become the next generation of global leaders in the real estate sector.

Two modules are scheduled for 2024:

  • Module 1: June 16-22 in Maastricht, The Netherlands
  • Module 2: Oct. 14-19 in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The application deadline for Module 1 and Module 2 is May 24. The dates for 2025 will be published in the summer.

Modules can be followed individually. The program is being developed with the support of three industry-leading real estate associations: Urban Land Institue (ULI), Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), and Nareit.
