Nareit has launched its new PropTech and Innovation Partnership, a pilot initiative designed to connect REITs and real estate industry professionals with the emerging technology companies shaping the future of commercial real estate.
The program creates a platform for thought leadership, industry engagement, and curated exposure to Nareit’s broad membership base, while helping members stay informed about the technologies and innovations influencing the real estate industry.
Fifth Dimension has joined as an inaugural participant in the 2026 pilot program. The company uses AI-powered technology to help commercial real estate firms streamline document-intensive workflows and improve operational efficiency.
“We’re excited to welcome Fifth Dimension as the first partner in this new initiative,” said John Jones, Nareit senior vice president, government relations. “Technological innovation is critical to the future of the REIT industry and this partnership is intended to be the incubator for the latest technologies that will shape the future of real estate.”
The pilot program includes a mix of content and engagement opportunities designed to introduce participating companies to Nareit members and highlight innovative approaches across the industry. Components include a video interview series hosted by Jones, sponsored thought leadership content on REIT.com, targeted email and newsletter visibility, and industry roundtable discussions focused on innovation and operational strategy.
The program reflects Nareit’s broader efforts to expand member engagement opportunities and provide additional educational resources around emerging industry trends, including artificial intelligence, operational technology, smart building innovation, sustainability tools, data infrastructure, and evolving tenant and investor expectations.
The 2026 pilot will help inform the development of a broader, expanded program in 2027, that expands opportunities for collaboration, industry engagement, and the exchange of ideas around emerging technologies shaping the future of real estate.
