James Risoleo, CEO of Host Hotels & Resorts, Elected Chair
WASHINGTON, D.C., Nov. 2—Nareit announced the election of its 2021 officers, the members of its executive board, and its advisory board of governors.
Nareit’s new chair is James F. Risoleo, president and CEO, Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. Risoleo takes over from Nareit’s 2020 chair, A. William Stein, CEO, Digital Realty.
“Serving the REIT industry as Nareit’s 2021 chair is an honor, and I am excited to build upon the accomplishments of my predecessors,” Risoleo said. “Our focus this year will be to reaffirm to investors, policymakers, and other key stakeholders that REITs remain the best way for Americans to invest in commercial real estate, that REITs across all sectors provide jobs in every corner of our country, and that REITs are significant contributors to the success of our economy since they house the real estate that will help fuel our nation’s recovery from the pandemic.”
