Andy Power, president and CEO of Digital Realty (NYSE: DLR), sat down for a video interview during Nareit’s REITworld: 2024 Annual Conference in Las Vegas on Nov. 18-21.
Power emphasized the importance of supporting customers' growth driven by cloud computing, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence. Additionally, the company remains committed to sustainable, long-term financial performance.
Reflecting on Digital Realty’s 20th anniversary as a publicly traded company, Power highlighted the firm’s strong market position.
“We stand today with the growth path to really double the size of our footprint and gigawatts on behalf of our customers,” he said, emphasizing the company's readiness to meet evolving digital infrastructure demands despite persistent supply chain challenges.
Looking ahead, Power identified power generation and energy sustainability as critical areas of focus. He underscored the need for reliable and green energy sources to sustain Digital Realty's global operations. To support its customers, Digital Realty plans to enhance its infrastructure and explore innovative solutions.
“We’re searching the cabinets for the spare places for our customers to power their infrastructure,” Power said, signaling the company’s commitment to resourcefulness amid industry complexities.
